Do you remember the song, “Joshua Fit The Battle of Jericho” and the walls came tumbling down? Well this was not what I expected to see this morning but nonetheless God has meant this for us at this time. We knew that we would need to do something about this wall and were waiting for the right time and the money but, well, there is no time like the present.
Some of our men were available to come and help me with the clean up of the street and the sidewalk for safety purposes. What a joy even in the rain to give praise to the Lord for His goodness. We are blessed today because no one was injured, no cars were involved and that it was on a Monday and not Sunday.
I’m reminded of the Apostle Paul who wrote these words under divine inspiration, “In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” It is God’s will and we accept His timing and His plan.
Unfortunately, since this is a retaining wall and not connected to our building, the insurance company has said that it is not covered. Therefore, I’m anxious to see how the Lord provides for the construction of a new wall. As always, we are trusting in Him.
